1/2 cup walnuts or almonds (whole or pieces)
1 teaspoon extra light olive oil
1T cinnamon (opt)
1 1/2 tablespoons honey or amber agave
Pour nuts into a bowl, add olive oil, honey, and stir well. Line a pie pan or baking sheet with aluminum foil. Pour nuts into pan and spread them out. Toast in a 325 degree oven for about 8 minutes (honey will start to bubble). Be careful to prevent them from burning. Remove from oven and cool.
Use in salads, sandwiches, cereal or as a topping.
Refrigerate in covered container to maintain freshness.
To toast nuts with honey: Heat in a non-stick skillet on medium heat until lightly browned (and you sense the wonderful aroma).
